Niles North Winter Hitting and Pitching Camps

The Niles North High School Baseball staff is hosting a winter hitting and pitching camp for players 9-14 years old.

  • Camps are designed to instill the fundamental skills necessary to become a successful hitter and pitcher.
  • Each camp session has a maximum enrollment of 12 players.
  • Each camp consists of three 1-hour sessions on three consecutive Sundays.
  • The cost of each camp is $25 per player.

Softball Pitching Clinics

softball_clipartCome and learn how to pitch. Niles West is hosting softball pitching clinics this winter alongside Skokie Indians, Morton Grove Softball, and Lincolnwood Softball. The pitching coaches will be Coach Amelianovich, the Niles North pitching coach, and Coach Artajo, a member of Skokie Indians. Both were collegiate softball pitchers.

There are four one-hour clinics in total, with the first beginning on January 25th. You can view the flyers and registration forms below.

Wolverine Wrestling K-8th Grade

Wolverine Wrestling is a K-8th Grade feeder wrestling program for Niles North and Niles West High Schools. Registration is still open if you are at all interested in participating with the season beginning on November 11th and running throughout the winter. Practices are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:15 – 7:45pm.

Skokie Indians Fall Baseball: Only a Few Spots Left

  • Pony League (7th, 8th, and 9th Graders) – We are currently FULL, and have a few kids on a waiting list. WE NEED at least 3-more players in order to add another team for Fall Ball. However, we need these registrations in within the next two days, as teams will be finalized by Tuesday night. Games begin August 30th.
  • Bronco League (5th and 6th Graders) – There are only five roster spots available. After those five spots are filled, we cannot guarantee placement on a team this Fall. Games begin September 6th.
  • Mustang League (3rd and 4th Graders) – Registration is still open. Games begin September 6th.

Evanston Buddy BasebALL this Sunday for Disabled Players

Our neighbors in Evanston are running their annual Buddy BasebALL event this Sunday. Evanston Buddy basebALL provides individuals with a mental and/or physical disability the opportunity to play baseball, regardless of their abilities. Buddyball is open for players between 5 years old and up to 20 and there is no charge or any fees to participate. Games will take place on Sundays in August at 2pm at James Park in Evanston.

Chicago Bandits Softball Game in Rosemont

Skokie Indians Baseball and Softball is organizing a group outing to the Chicago Bandits softball game in Rosemont on Thursday July 31st at 7pm vs the USSSA Pride. The group ticket cost will be $10.00 per ticket. If people have vouchers for a free ticket, please let Kim McKinney know that as well as how many tickets you would want for the game. Contact to let her know how many tickets you need and the vouchers you have if any by July 21st.
